Volunteers Needed   10/05/2018

We need you!

As a small National Governing Body, Netball NI rely on the support our volunteers to ensure we continue to deliver on each element of our Strategic Plan.  As such and following our recent members meeting we are seeking to recruit skilled volunteers to assist all areas of our business. We have a number of opportunities available that will allow both members and independent personnel the chance be a part of our fast moving, growing business, bringing participation and development opportunities to the netball family across NI.

Opportunities available:

Board Directors

Netball NI Articles of Association requires a Board comprised of 5 - 7 Directors. We currently have 5 Directors in place and would like to increase this to 7 Directors. We are particularly keen to attract Directors with skills/qualifications in areas such as; Financial Management, HR and Fundraising.

Working group members will be task orientated and provide support on specific areas of work with clear time frames; eg Umpire Liaison, Pathway Coaching Appointments, Specific Fundraising Event Management. Working group members are not committee members and will only be required to attend group meetings when necessary.

If you would like to volunteer to be a working group member, please contact the relevant staff member to get involved.

General volunteers

Netball NI hold numerous events throughout the year including; Regional Academy Match Play Days, Social Festivals, Test Events, Domestic Finals etc. This year, as a first we are also marshalling at the Ulster Grand Prix as part of our fundraising activities. In order to ensure these events are sufficiently resourced, we would like to compile a 'General Volunteer' register. Roles that come up throughout the year that we would love support with include; manning ticket desks, selling merchandise/raffle tickets, social media reporters, team liaison officers, room/hall set up etc. We have lots of different opportunities that will suit anyone who has a little time to set aside to help us!

If you are interested in becoming a general volunteer, please contact our Workforce Officer, Tom Causer clubandworkforce@netballni.org
