The Clubmark NI scheme was developed to enable children and young people, their parents/carers, vulnerable adults and others with an interest in sport to recognise those clubs which are committed to providing a quality experience. Clubmark is the only nationally recognised accreditation scheme for young people in sports clubs in the UK.

Whilst the scheme is focused on young people, it must be recognised that the criteria are also relevant for all clubs, whether they have young people or not, as the purpose is to create quality sports clubs across the spectrum.

Using the Clubmark NI as a guide, Netball Northern Ireland has developed its own club development accreditation scheme. Clubs attaining Netball NI Clubmark will automatically get Clubmark NI accreditation as well.
The resource pack sets out and explains the issues which clubs must address and the core criteria which they should meet to gain Clunmark accreditation through Netball NI. It should be read in conjunction with the Clubmark NI resource pack which can be found at www.sportni.net.

To obtain the resource pack and templates please see the resources/templates section or contact Netball NI and we will happily send out the information and help you along the way.

Getting Started
Register your club by downloading a clubmark registation form from the resources and templates section for clubs from the Clubmark NI website or contacting the Netball NI Clubmark team by emailing participation@netballni.org. Once a registration form has been received you will be sent a resource pack, explanatory notes and an assessment file.

You will be assigned a support officer who will soon be in contact with you to start the process of support offered to help gain Clubmark accreditation. A club visit will be planned with your club so that the support officer can determine what support your club needs and answer any questions relating to the criteria and assessment procedures. The Support Officer will provide on going support throughout the process.
